Youngest Bilingual Author in the World-Guinness World Records

We are proud to introduce an incredibly talented author in our midst. Saarth Khanna Sohum, an EtonHouse student since he was 2, is currently in Year 1 at EtonHouse International School in Sentosa.

Just slightly over six, Saarth Khanna Sohum has already earned an accolade for being a storyteller. Saarth conceptualised the picture book, the play script and the two songs that were published after 108 days of hard work in 3 editions – English, English and Hindi as well as English and Mandarin on the 2nd of November 2017.

Saarth worked with Darel Seow, a well-known illustrator in Singapore, to bring his story to life over ten workshop sessions. The English and Hindi editions are authored in Saarth’s words. He worked with Cecilia Chee, a translator featured by the National Book Development Council of Singapore, for the version in English and Mandarin.

To celebrate the launch of the book, his peers and teachers in the Year 1 class came together to put up a delightful play based on the book by Saarth. The props and costumes were created collaboratively by the children – a wonderful culmination of creativity, resourcefulness and team spirit.
