EtonHouse International School Suzhou, China, receives IB Diploma authorisation
EtonHouse International School in Suzhou is now authorised to offer the IB Diploma programme (DP). This makes EtonHouse Suzhou the first fully authorised EtonHouse school offering the IB Primary Years, Middle Years and the Diploma programmes.
Established in 2003, EtonHouse International School Suzhou was set up in the Suzhou Science and Technology Town upon invitation from the Suzhou provincial government. The school is a member of the Council of International Schools and attracts a bustling community of learners from pre-school to senior years. It is now housed in a purpose-built campus spread over a land area of approximately 3 hectares with outstanding facilities. In 2013, EtonHouse International School Suzhou was ranked in China’s 500 Best Elementary Schools, based on an independent study undertaken by China Research Group, a non-profit think tank based in Washington D.C. It was the only international school from the Jiangsu province in the list.
Receiving the IB DP authorization reinforces the school’s commitment to best practice in education. The IB DP is one of the most rigorous and respected high school diplomas recognised by all top universities in the world. It requires students to have an excellent breadth and depth of knowledge. This achievement is a result of deep commitment, patience and hard work on the part of the school leadership and the entire teaching and learning community.
Mrs Ng Gim Choo, Founder of EtonHouse said, “This is a very important milestone in our journey towards excellence in international education. I thank our entire team in Suzhou for making this possible. I would also like to thank our parent community for their unwavering trust and support all these years. We will continue to enhance our standards of practice and offer high-quality education to international communities from all over the world. ”
