EtonHouse International School Kuala Lumpur receives IB accreditation
EtonHouse International School Malaysia recently achieved the International Baccalaureate (IB) accreditation.
As the first EtonHouse school in Malaysia, EtonHouse Kuala Lumpur opened its doors on 10 October 2010. Since its commencement, the school has been fully dedicated to inquiry-based learning. In addition to recognising the importance of academic achievements, the school also emphasises on educating the whole child, catering for the physical, emotional and social needs of every student.
The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) has a positive impact on students, schools and their wider communities with learning going well beyond the classroom. Its unique and innovative approach to learning ensures that students and teachers alike are genuinely engaged in learning and benefit from being a part of an unparalleled global network. Students are given ample opportunities to participate in a wide range of opportunities, and educators work with their peers internationally to ensure that the IB programme remains at the cutting edge of international education.
Mr Bengt Rosberg, Principal of EtonHouse Kuala Lumpur, said, “We wanted to offer our students a more holistic education which will instil in them the skills, knowledge, and outlook to succeed in the 21st century, both in their local community and in the wider world. At the same time, we wanted to give our teachers the opportunity to be a part of an international network of experts leading the field in education. We are delighted to become an IB World School and we look forward to reaping the many benefits of the programme.”
The journey towards this significant milestone required deep commitment, patience and hard work, and we are proud of the school leadership and teaching team for making this milestone possible.
