What is the EtonHouse Charity Walk?
The EtonHouse Community Fund is organising a family walk and fun fair on the 11th of November 2017 to being together the entire community of parents, staff, alumni from the EtonHouse, E-Bridge, Middleton and Hampton schools. Expected to attract 2000 families, we hope that the event will generate a momentum around philanthropy in our schools. Proceeds from the event will be channelled towards charities that support underprivileged children through education. The walk will donate $50,000 to the ECDA KidSTART project and $50,000 to the Bishan North CCC Community Development and Welfare Fund. How long is the walk? When and where is it?
The walk will be for approximately 2-2.5 kms along the lush nature trails at the Fort Canning Park, starting at the Fort Canning Green. The walk will be flagged off by Mrs. Josephine Teo, Minister in Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister for Manpower and Home Affairs at 9.00 a.m. The walk will end in a funfair for the community at Fort Canning Green against the magnificent backdrop of Fort Canning Center.

How can I participate in games and buy food and drinks at the fun fair?
We will be selling coupons that can be used to make purchases at the fun fair. The coupons will be available for purchase prior to the event at our centres and in the head office. You are requested to buy your coupons prior to the event if you wish to avoid queuing up at the venue.

Who can participate?
The walk is open to friends, family, business associates, partners and well-wishers of the EtonHouse community open to EtonHouse, E-Bridge, Middleton and Hampton families and friends. All participants are required to register for the walk.

How can I register?
All participants are required to sign up and pay online. Upon registration, you will be sent a confirmation e-mail. Please use the e-mail to collect your pack at the collection centre you have chosen during the registration process. We will inform you on when the packs are ready for collection. Is there a minimum or maximum age for the walk?
There is no age limit for the walk. Please do note that some parts of the walk can be at an incline and that there are 22 steps at the start and end point of the walk. You could opt for a less challenging route if that works for you and your family.

Can I participate if my child is not currently a student of EtonHouse/E-Bridge/Middleton/Hampton?
Yes of course. Friends, family, alumni and well-wishers are welcome to join the walk and fun fair.

What should I wear on the day?
Wear comfortable clothes and trainers on the day. Please do bring your umbrellas and/or ponchos to protect yourself in case of rain.

Will there be parking?
There is limited parking available at the venue. There are 2 car parks-Car Park A and B, as well as the hotel parking available. However, do note that they are limited in number. Since we are expecting a large number of families, it is recommended that you use public transport to get to the venue.

Can I bring a stroller? Is the walk wheelchair accessible?
You can bring your stroller. However do note that some parts have stairs and have a steep incline. There are 22 steps at the beginning and end of the walk. You have the option to take the easy route instead of the advanced one.
