EtonHouse Arts & Music Programme
Programs to develop the whole child
EtonHouse seeks to promote maximum opportunities for student expression in artistic endeavour and physical activity. These programs complement the academic focus, providing a harmonious balance within the curriculum between activities demanding critical reasoning and those requiring a creative or physical response from the learner.
Art

Art classes are taken by a specialist art teacher in a well-appointed art studio.
Students have the opportunity to work in a diverse range of media that includes pencil, crayon, paint, collage, lino-print, textiles, sculpture, photography and computer graphics.
Music

Music classes are held in the music room under the guidance of a specialist music teacher. Lessons focus on music-making, singing, movement, composition, music theory and listening appreciation.
All students learn to play the recorder and tuned/untuned percussion instruments. The school encourages student membership of its choral groups and performance at its evening soirees.
Physical Education

An experienced Physical Education team provides specialist PE lessons.
Developmentally appropriate physical skills are introduced in these lessons along with games, gymnastics, aerobic fitness and a swimming and athletics program.
