Carol Crosbie relocated from the UK in 2011 to take on the role of Pre-School Director at EtonHouse International Research Pre-School, 718 Mountbatten Road. Prior to this role, Carol was an Early Year’s Consultant for the Local Government where she provided guidance and support to early years settings that were delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage in the United Kingdom for children between 0-5 years of age.

With a wealth of experience in a variety of childcare settings, she is able to ‘see the bigger picture’ and participate in a wide range of approaches.

Carol has sound knowledge of the UK ‘Birth to Three Matters’ and the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage’ framework and therefore is able to translate this understanding into everyday planning and experiences. She has also worked as part of a team in guiding young teacher graduates in their professional practice and has the relevant experience to develop a strong pedagogical team in the newest EtonHouse Pre-School. With the leadership skills acquired over the years, Carol is a strong motivator and has the ability to train and supervise staff and student teachers. An enthusiastic and forward thinking educator, Carol believes in forging strong relationships with parents in order to maximize the potential of each individual child.

Coming from the UK, Carol is looking forward to exploring the Far East with her family and friends. She is an avid reader, a keen gardener and loves to experiment with different cuisines.

Heather Conroy, Executive Director of Pedagogy

Heather Conroy is the Executive Director of Pedagogy with EtonHouse Preschools. Her leadership role involves working with EtonHouse teachers in their classrooms to support the design and delivery of inquiry based curriculum. She also facilitates the teacher's work with pedagogical documentation, which has been an essential aspect in supporting the transformation of the curriculum into a child responsive and integrated approach. Documentation also supports the work in building and maintaining partnerships with parents. A critical role of her mentoring position is the support she am able to provide for teachers in relation to critical reflection on practice – an essential aspect of high quality teaching.

Heather also undertakes a lecturing role with the EtonHouse Education Centre, the training arm of EtonHouse International and develop and deliver the professional development programmes for EtonHouse preschools in Singapore, China and Japan.

She is an Australian educator who has worked in Singapore for 8 years. Heather hold a special interest in curriculum development; teacher education and children's rights. She is also a member of the (European Early Childhood Education Research Association (EECERA) SIG (special interest groups) on mentoring and child participation and a committee member for the (Early Childhood Australia) ECA publications committee.
