Mr John Cooley joined EtonHouse in October, 2003 as Principal of the East Coast International School campus in Broadrick Road. He was subsequently appointed to the position of Executive Principal of Singapore Schools in August, 2007. Mr Cooley is responsible for the operational wellbeing and quality of EtonHouse pre-school and school education services in Singapore.
Mr Cooley is an Australian educator whose previous leadership positions were that of Head of Junior School at Blue Mountains Grammar School in New South Wales, and Head of Junior School at the White Rock Campus of Trinity Anglican School, Cairns, Queensland. He was a member of the National Executive of Junior Schools Heads of Australia from 2000-2002 and Chairman of the Heads of Independent Co-Educational Schools of New South Wales in 2003. Mr Cooley has also worked in senior teaching positions at The Cranbrook School in Sydney and with the New South Wales Department of Education.
Mr Cooley is an educator who passionately believes in the potential of each and every child within the EtonHouse school and pre-school system - and the necessity of a quality, research-based education system to challenge and release this potential in every student. He recognises that the future of the planet depends upon a new generation of confident, bold, international citizens with ethical responsibility and the ability to work together in solution-finding teams. The building blocks for such a future are shaped in the classrooms and learning settings of our pre-schools and schools.
