Dear Friends, Colleagues and Business Associates of the EtonHouse Group,
Twenty years ago, my brother and I set up EtonHouse. Since then, it has been our privilege to work with you as partners in the care and education of our children. Together, we have touched the lives of countless families and done our part to shape the future.
However, there are children who need our support, right here in Singapore. Born into disadvantaged families, they are deprived of a safe and stimulating foundation in the early years. We fear this will make it impossible for them to escape the cycle of poverty.
Two years ago, with your support, we were able to raise money to help these children through the EtonHouse Community Fund. We allocated $100,000 to ECDA KidSTART, an initiative for disadvantaged children. An additional $100,000 was donated to the Punggol North Community Development & Welfare Fund to assist needy families through their Child Development accounts.
This year, we plan to do even better. With the support of our colleagues and parents, the EtonHouse Community Fund will be organizing the EtonHouse Charity Walk. Proceeds from the event will be channelled to ECDA KidSTART and to the Bishan North CCC Community Development and Welfare Fund.
The walk will be held on the 11th of November 2017 (Saturday) at Fort Canning Green. Our Guest-of-Honour, Mrs. Josephine Teo, Minister in Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister for Manpower and Home Affairs, will flag off the walk at 9.00 a.m. The walk will end in a funfair for the community where we hope to generate additional funds for charity. Open to all and publicised across our media channels, we anticipate that the event will attract 2,000 friends, families and staff from more than 20 campuses across EtonHouse, E-Bridge, Hampton and Middleton.
I hope you will join us to make a difference to the lives of children who need our help. Please connect with us at [email protected] by 22nd September 2017, if you'd like to be a part of this initiative.
Donations through cash/crossed cheque can be made payable to the ‘EtonHouse Community Fund Limited’. Should you have further enquiries, please contact Maybelline Tan or Sophie Ong at 6746 3333. We look forward to your kind and generous support towards our humble initiative.
