Charlotte Choy - Centre Supervisor
Charlotte Choy
Charlotte has been working in EtonHouse since January 2008. Prior to that, she had the opportunity to undertake her Diploma training in early childhood education with EtonHouse Education Centre (EEC). The experience with EEC inspired her and further reinforced her beliefs in her work with children. Her early years as a teacher were spent working with toddlers and that had fueled her interest in working with very young children.
Charlotte believes that children enlist play as a mode of constructing and testing their own theories about the world around them. She recognizes that children are strong and competent individuals possessing differing learning aptitudes and capabilities. The EtonHouse framework for inquiry provides the young child with the perfect platform for open ended learning and discovery. Charlotte believes in providing a warm, safe and nurturing environment where children are supported in their exploration and inquiry. She is a firm believer in nurturing children to become confident, inquisitive thinking individuals capable of autonomy.
Charlotte believes in continuous professional development and is currently pursuing her Master of Education with a specialization in Early Childhood from Monash University.
